It is interesting the amount of influence the Greek/Roman style has had upon the art and architectural world. I didn`t really think about it until he said it in the short video. As he spoke, though, I kept wondering about the influences on Greek and Rome that aided the styles we use today. Prior to the greater movements of art and the desire to capture the world in a more realistic state, the Greek and Roman styles were not so different from Egyptian, chinese, and other ancient civilizations. I am sure the full videos go in depth about how the style transitioned to what we now idolize and refer to today.
